OmegaMart in Las Vegas, Nevada is a trippy and fascinating place to visit! I loved it all, but aside from meeting a charming employee, my favorite moment by far was finding this energy drink, which also happens to be my favorite piece of flash fiction I’ve read all year.

This is not real! You are asleep! This existence is a dream. You are not looking at a can in a store. Snap out of it! You are asleep and this is a dream. Please! Wake up! You are not who you are in this dream! Your family is concerned. They are standing around your bed begging you to wake up! Wake up! Please wake up!
Your eyes are twitching like crazy. You’re really in it, aren’t you? Look at those two drops of sweat running down your forehead. Here’s a damp cloth. Now we’re gently shaking your shoulder. Do you feel that? Feel the shake. Feel yourself coming back to us. Please. Please!
I doubt you hear us.
But what more can we do?
All we have are our words.

So haunting and surreal! Are we all asleep?
